This policy explains what data DashPOS (built by Kennartech) accesses through your Google Account when you use its automatic backup feature, and how that data is used.
DashPOS requests a single, narrow Google permission:
drive.file. This scope only allows the app to see and
manage the specific files it creates itself — it cannot see, list, or
modify any other file already in your Google Drive.
Once a day, the app creates a compressed backup (a .zip
file) of your business's local database and uploads it into a folder
named "DashPOS Backups" inside the Google Drive account you sign in
with. No other data — customer records, screenshots, or files outside
the app — is ever sent anywhere.
You can disconnect DashPOS from your Google account at any time via Google Account → Security → Third-party apps with account access . Revoking access stops all future uploads; previously uploaded backup files remain in your Drive under your control.
